Junior Development

The Junior Development program is for all ages and levels. We have a class for the very beginner to the more advanced high school player. Classes for children 12 and under are designed to use the appropriate size racket, ball, and court size.

All classes run in sessions.

Class Descriptions

Tiny Tennis, Ages 4-6

Program is for the true beginner to tennis. Motor skills and hand eye coordination are the primary focus. Beginning stroke mechanics will be introduced on the forehand, backhand, and serve. Age appropriate equipment will be used.

Aces, Ages 6-8

Program is for the true beginner to tennis. Motor skills and hand eye coordination are the primary focus. Beginning stroke mechanics will be introduced on the forehand, backhand, and serve. Age appropriate equipment will be used. All 6 year old must have completed a minimum of 1 session of Tiny Tennis.

Futures, Ages 8-11

Class is designed for the player with a basic understanding of stroke mechanics. This player is beginning to move to the ball and contact has improved. Stroke mechanics on the backhand, forehand, and serve will be reinforced. Age appropriate equipment will be used. All eight year old must have completed 1 session of Aces.

Challenger, Ages 10-12

Class is designed for the player with an understanding of stroke mechanics. This player is beginning to move to the ball and contact has improved. Stroke mechanics on the backhand, forehand, and serve will be reinforced. All 10 year old must have completed 1 session of Futures.

Teen Beginner, Ages 12-17

Program is for the true beginner to tennis. Motor skills and hand eye coordination are the primary focus. Beginning stroke mechanics will be introduced on the forehand, backhand, and serve. Age appropriate equipment will be used.

Middle School Clinic, Grades 6th-8th

This class is designed for the player aspiring to play high school tennis.  Drills will be designed around stroke execution and development.  Point play is also a regular training component.

High School Drill, Players in grades 9-12

This program is a co-ed high school drill for players in grades 9-12 who compete in a High School Environment.  Drills will be designed to focus on doubles and singles strategy and positioning.  Point play is also a regular training component.
